Raw Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Torte

A healthier alternative to the traditional chocolate torte made with heavy cream. Our torte has lots heart healthy ingredients–like dark raw cacao which also comes with the benefit of being the aphrodisiac elixir of love. Cacao is known to promote feelings of is happiness and bliss.  A perfect "rich" dessert for chocolate "lovers" on a special occasion.

Ingredients

Filling

¾ cup raw cacao butter melted

¼ cup coconut oil melted

2 vanilla beans scraped or 2 tsp of vanilla

½ tsp Himalayan pink salt

1 cup of raw honey

1 cup of cacao powder

½ cup raw hazelnut butter

1 cup of roughly chopped hazelnuts

Crust

2 cups of Raw Brazil nuts

2 Tbsp of Raw honey

2 Tbsp of coconut oil melted

2 Tbsp of coconut sugar

½ tsp of Himalayan pink salt

Directions

Filling

1Blend in a high speed blender until smooth the melted cacao butter and coconut oil along with the vanilla and salt. Then add the honey, cacao powder, hazelnut butter and further blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a large mixing bowl and fold in the chopped hazelnuts.

Crust

1Process the Brazil nuts to a fine meal, then add the remaining ingredients. Do not over-process.

2Press the crust into the base of the 9-inch spring form pan.

3Lightly oil the sides of the spring form pan with 1 tsp of avocado oil or other oil on hand making sure it is completely well coated. Pour the filling into the pan and put the pan into the fridge till set about 1-2 hours.
